Is your name actually yours?

Nobody can take your followers. Your name is different. A trade mark is first come, first served, and using a handle for six years reserves nothing. Paste your profile link and we will check it against the Indian trade marks register.

Works with Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Threads. A bare handle is fine too: @yourhandle. We read the name and nothing else, because a link gives away nothing else.

Why the name and not the followers

Every other tool for creators measures reach. Reach is yours and nobody can file a form and take it. The name is the opposite: it is registered on a first come, first served basis, it is cheap to register and expensive to lose, and the people it is usually lost to are not copycats but a brand that liked it, or somebody who noticed it was free.

This checks it against the Indian register, comparing sound as well as spelling, because the Registry refuses on phonetic similarity too and that is what catches most people out.

What this is not. It compares names. It does not read the goods and services an earlier mark claims, and those frequently decide whether two similar marks can coexist. The index covers applications we have seen, not the whole Register; for an exhaustive official search use InPASS. Nothing here is legal advice, and "no close match" is not a clearance.

We read the name in the link and nothing else. We do not connect to your account, we cannot see your followers, and we do not want to.
