Abstract

The present disclosure relates to zinc sulfide nanostructures and a process for synthesis thereof at large scale. The present disclosure particularly relates to a template free synthesis of mono-dispersed, nanostructures of zinc sulfide by using solid state method. The process involves mixing of zinc oxide and thiourea in a molar ratio of 1:2 to 1:10, at a temperature of about 200°C to obtain nanostructures of zinc sulfide.
