A folding bicycle comprises a steerable front wheel assembly including a front frame member 4 and a rear wheel assembly including a lower frame member 3, a seat post member 7 and a rear wheel 2, the lower frame member 3 comprising a first hinge 31 connected to the seat post member 7 and operating on a horizontal axis to allow the bicycle to be folded, the steerable front wheel assembly comprising a hinged handlebar 30 operable in use to position the handlebar 30 in contact. with the rear wheel 2., thereby reducing the size of the bicycle. In an embodiment, a rear latch 40 is released allowing the seat post member 7 to be hinged forwards. This releases a latch 29 allowing seat post member 7 and front frame member 4 to be rotated back together towards the rear wheel. Fork stantions or legs 13 may also be folded back around hinge 50 after releasing catch 49.
