[0000] Systems and methods for generating dialysate solution for peritoneal dialysis treatments. The system includes a first bag or container configured to hold a dextrose solution having a first concentration of dextrose, a second bag or container configured to hold a bicarbonate solution having a second concentration of bicarbonate, wherein the first bag or container is separate from the second bag or container. The system also includes a PD machine configured to mix a first volume of the dextrose solution drawn from the first bag or container with a second volume of bicarbonate solution drawn from the second bag or container to produce a dialysate solution having a target concentration of dextrose and bicarbonate. Mixing may be performed directly in a pump chamber of the PD machine or by feeding amounts of each solution to a separate bag or container.
