According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a foldable electronic device comprises: a first housing; a second housing; a hinge assembly configured to connect the first housing and the second housing so as to rotate around a folding axis; and a flexible display configured to be bendable around the folding axis, wherein the flexible display includes: a display panel; and a support plate disposed below the display panel and including a bendable region corresponding to a vicinity of the folding axis and including a plurality of openings, wherein, in the bendable region, the area of an upper plane facing the display panel of the support plate may be smaller than the area of a lower plane opposite to the upper plane.
