【課題】照明光としてバイオルミネセンスを利用したバイオルミネセンス照明システムを実現する。【解決手段】生物発光の能力を有する微生物を含む液体を貯留するタンク１０と、微生物を含む液体の流路として所定の施設に延設されており、その両端がタンク１０に繋がれている光透過性を有するパイプライン２０と、タンク１０に貯留されている微生物を含む液体をパイプライン２０に流して循環させるポンプ３０と、パイプライン２０中を流れる微生物を含む液体に関する調整を行う制御装置４０と、を備えたバイオルミネセンス照明システム１００において、制御装置４０は、微生物を含む液体の流量を調整するようにポンプ３０を動作制御し、微生物を含む液体がパイプライン２０中を流れる際に放出された微生物の生物発光を照明光として利用する照明モードと、少なくともタンク１０で微生物を培養する培養モードと、を切り替える処理を実行するようにした。【選択図】図１
