The invention discloses a method for efficiently removing heavy metal pollutants from farmland irrigation water by an adsorption pool. The adsorption pool is constructed through industrial and agricultural wastes having low prices, easy availability, high efficiency and a good heavy metal adsorption capacity. The adsorption pool utilizes a natural water inlet and outlet method. The adsorption materials comprise industrial and agricultural wastes such as straw, organic fertilizer, wheat straw, zeolite, cinder and bio-carbon. Through filtration, adsorption and precipitation effects of the adsorption materials in the adsorption pool, the method realizes purification of heavy metal pollution in the fields. The method has the advantages of low floor area, low investment and low running cost.
