The invention provides a method for greatly reducing the resistance of a whole aircraft, particularly reducing the induced resistance, which comprises the following steps: controlling the orientation of an aerodynamic vector; adjusting the offset angle of the aerodynamic vector deviating from the vertical axis of the flight path shafting, and/or increasing the aspect ratio of the wing or increasing the effective aspect ratio of the wing; and carrying out optimization design on pressure distribution on the surface of the airfoil profile and the like. According to the invention, the induced resistance can be reduced and even eliminated to the greatest extent, and harmful induced resistance can be converted into induced thrust beneficial to the movement of an aircraft. According to the method, the correct resistance reduction direction is found based on analysis of the generation mechanism and source of resistance, especially induced resistance. Based on the method, an induced resistance calculation method is improved, and a full-aircraft flight resistance mathematical model is perfected. By applying the method, the resistance of the whole aircraft can be efficiently reduced, the lift-drag ratio is greatly improved, and the flight efficiency is effectively improved.
