The multi-foldable electronic device may comprise: a housing; a flexible display; at least one sensor; at least one processor; and a memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, may instruct the multi-foldable electronic device to: display, through the flexible display, an execution screen of a software application including user interface (UI) objects and partially overlapping a screen while the multi-foldable electronic device is in an unfolded state; identify, through the at least one sensor, a change in a state of the multi-foldable electronic device from the unfolded state to a single-folded state while the execution screen partially overlapping the screen is displayed; and display, through the flexible display, the execution screen of the software application including some of the UI objects and partially overlapping the screen.
