[0001] The present invention relates to a method for assessing pancreatic cancer in a subject, said method comprising (a) determining the biomarkers Ceramide (d18:1;C24:0), Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (C18:0), Phosphatidylethanolamine (C18:0, C22:6), Sphingomyelin (d17:1; C16:0), and CA19.9 in a sample from said subject; (b) comparing the biomarkers determined in step (a) to at least one corresponding reference; and (c) assessing pancreatic cancer in said subject based on said comparing in step (b). The present invention further relates to a computer-implemented training method of training at least one trainable model for assessing pancreatic cancer, to an automated machine learning model, and to a system related thereto.
