The present disclosure provides a mobile data collection apparatus for use with a humanoid robot. The apparatus comprises a wearable base mount configured to be secured to a human operator's torso via a harness. The apparatus comprises a pair of articulated arms extending from opposite sides of the base mount. Each articulated arm comprises a first rigid frame link coupled to the base mount, a shoulder joint with first and second couplers defining orthogonal rotational axes with corresponding sensors, a shoulder joint rotator, a second rigid frame link, an elbow joint with coupler and sensor, a third rigid frame link, and a wrist assembly comprising first and second wrist joint couplers defining fourth and fifth rotational axes.
