In certain embodiments, systems and methods disclosed herein may adjust utilization of one more device systems and/or sensors based on a state of a device to better utilize device power or other resources. In further embodiments, systems and methods disclosed herein may utilize one or more power efficient systems to determine when a device is in a transitory state and to schedule precise location determination events at times when the device is more likely to be located at a point of interest.
