Provided is a water drain tank and the like that allows water to be drained easily, while preventing leakage of water from a water drain port. The water drain tank is detachably attached to a device body. When detached from the device body, the orientation of the water drain tank can be changed between a conveying orientation for conveying the drain tank with water stored in a tank body thereof, and a water draining orientation for draining the water from the tank body. The water drain tank comprises: a water drain port for draining water from the tank body when the water drain tank is in the water draining orientation; and a water drain cover that is movable between a first position for closing the water drain port and a second position for opening the water drain port. The water drain cover is configured to move from the first position to the second position as the orientation of the water drain tank changes from the conveyance orientation to the water drain orientation.
