A work machine (MC) is provided with a tank for collecting liquid. The work machine (MC) includes: a calculation unit (21A) for finding the difference between the amount of the liquid in the tank as obtained at a first timing and the amount of the liquid in the tank acquired at a second timing following the first timing; and a notification unit (21B) for reporting fault information showing that a fault pertaining to the tank has occurred when the operating time of the work machine from the first timing to the second timing is equal to or less than a first threshold value and the difference is equal to or more than a second threshold value and not reporting the fault information when the operating time is greater than the second threshold value.
